LOBBI Privacy Policy
LOBBI ("we", "us") is a social app for creating and joining small in-person events ("Lobbis"). This policy explains what we collect, why, who processes it, and the controls you have.
What we collect
Account & profile. Phone number (used to sign in via SMS code), email address (if you add one), name, date of birth, gender (optional), home city, bio, interests, and the photos you choose for your profile.
Content you create. Lobbis you host (title, description, date/time, location, cover image, entry details), RSVPs and attendance, invitations, chat messages and media you send, and reports you file about other users or content.
Location. If you grant permission, your device's approximate location while using the app — used only to show nearby Lobbis and distances. We do not collect location in the background.
Device & diagnostics. Push notification token, device type, and basic logs needed to run and debug the service.
We do not collect contacts, precise background location, health, financial, or browsing data. We do not show ads and we do not sell or share your personal data for advertising.
How we use it
- Run the product: match you with Lobbis, show event details to the right audience, deliver chat and notifications.
- Safety and moderation: screen event content, act on reports, enforce our rules (some content is screened automatically before it is shown to others).
- Service communications: SMS sign-in codes and event notifications you can control in settings.

These providers act on our instructions. Data is stored in the United States.
Sharing between users
Your profile (name, photo, bio, interests, city) is visible to other LOBBI users as part of the product — for example on events you host or join and in chat. Exact event addresses are shown only according to the host's disclosure setting (for private events, typically only after you are approved to attend).
Retention & deletion
- You can delete your account in the app (Profile → Account Information → Delete account). Deletion is permanent: it removes your auth account, profile, and photos. Messages you already sent in group chats may remain visible, attributed to a deleted account.
- You can also deactivate instead, which hides your profile and can be reversed.
- We may retain moderation reports and records we need for safety, security, or legal compliance after deletion.
Your choices
- iOS permissions (location, photos, microphone, calendar, notifications) are optional and can be changed anytime in Settings.
- You can edit or remove profile details in the app.

Age
LOBBI is for users 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13; if we learn we have, we delete it.
Changes
We'll update this page and the effective date when the policy changes; material changes will be announced in the app.
